Crosby, Stills and Nash

Live at the Borgata Casino

August 6, 2005

Below are shots from the concert above.   As always, the concert was fantastic and a lot of fun.

David shared one interesting tidbit about a song he'd written that I'd never heard.  Before singing "Delta," he related the story behind the writing of it.   He said he started writing it while in the extreme depths of his addiction.  Jackson Browne heard him play and sing part of the song one day, and told him it was a great song, and that he had to finish it.  David was less than enthusiastic, and said he couldn't finish it because he needed a piano and didn't have one.  Jackson told him he knew where there was a piano and threw him in the car.   David finished writing the song at Warren Zevon's house.   He gave his thanks to Jackson and Warren ("two of the good guys") for making the song happen.   David said it's hard for him to sing, though, because it takes him back to a really bad period in his life.
