RFK Stadium - D.C.

The stadium wasn't much to look at and it was HOT, very HOT.  The beer was good, though.  Partook in a Harps and Blue Moon Belgian Wheat Ale, and a really good Italian sausage.  Taking photos took too much energy.  I'll take more pictures when they build the much-needed, new ballpark.

Citizens Bank Park - Philly

Very nice, new stadium!   It's very comfortable with a nice layout.  Tasted some "interesting" local beer.  Again hot, very hot.  Not too bright of us to pick August to visit stadiums in the mid-Atlantic.

    NYC

We took the train up to NYC from Philly Monday morning.  To occupy ourselves before the game, we went to Coney Island (a first for both of us) and then went to Ellis Island (my first time).     While at Ellis Island, I was able to take photos of my grandparents' names I had engraved on the Wall of Honor.  After Ellis Island, we sat on an un-air-conditioned subway car for an hour and fifteen minutes trying to get to Yankee Stadium.  The temperature in the car was at least 100 degrees, and everyone was dying.   When we got to the stadium, we then got stuck in a throng of people waiting to get through security.  Once we FINALLY got into the stadium, we were in total agreement that there was no need to stay the entire game and get caught in the subway mess trying to get out.   We left after four innings and headed towards Times Square where we found a pizza joint and relaxed a little.   We originally had a midnight train back to Philly, but got on an 11:00 p.m. one instead.   We got back to my house around 2:30 a.m.
